Who are SJ Clothing?

With 26 years of retail experience between them Shani and Josie have continually noticed customers disappointment and frustration at the lack of options and sizes for plus size men and women. Here is where their inspiration began and the desire to start their own plus size clothing business. In 2020 Shani and Josie made their dreams into a reality and started SJ Clothing.

    I have struggled with my weight since I was 16 and I never
    accepted my size, I felt judged when buying bigger sizes.

    There was never a huge variety of styles to choose from and I thought
    everything looked the same. I've learnt whilst growing up and working in retail that size shouldn’t define you and that you should embrace what you have
    and love every part of your body.

    FOUNDER

    Being a big girl myself I have not always enjoyed shopping for clothes, I have felt like people are staring at me and judging me for the clothes I wear. I also found that retailers don't do bigger sizes and working within retail for 14 years has been a great experience and has helped me to embrace who I am, and has made me more confident.

    Being able to provide plus size clothing so that others can feel good and
    confident     makes me very excited to start this new adventure.
